spring break project
March 24, 2010My spring break project is sketch on collage. Since I love collecting booklets, receipts, brochures and stuff. And keeping them in the drawer seems useless and messy. So i decide to make collages and print over them and draw on top of the paint. They become my mixed media visual journals. I made several for my winter break trips.
They simply tell what I did during the spring break. I had a day trip to philadelphia. And I went to photograph in DC. Also I went to movies, and started learning CSS so to create my online portfolio.

Since this is a spring break collection, they can form a BIG sketch.

an awesome way to mix your great drawing style with your travels. i really like the splotches of color you’ve used as well.
I do the same! I always think I’ll use these things, or scrapbook them, and then end up just throwing out big piles of paper. Glad to see yours found a purpose. I like your colors and the playful character of your drawings.

This is a great project. I think one you might consider continuing. I can imagine an entire room filled with a year’s drawings and graphic debris.
